That’s a weird title to a post.  I agree, but think about the song lyrics, “Apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur,” and then repeat the title.  Now you get it and since we are on the same wave length, we can begin.  Sure this is a cheesy way to start a post, but it is all about momentum and doing the right things.  And apple cider vinegar is one of those right things.

Some people claim apple cider vinegar is the cure for everything.  Hell, some would even say, “It’ll take rust off a bumper.”  Though these statements are not necessarily true, daily apple cider vinegar consumption can make a big difference in your overall health.  Science has proven that drinking a mixture of water and apple cider vinegar daily can provide your body with tons of benefits.  I will share with you how the 5and2Guy uses apple cider vinegar daily, but first let’s talk about some of the key benefits.

Fights Diabetes

Apple cider vinegar can help lower blood sugar levels and has been quite effective in patients with Type 2 diabetes.  It can be helpful for people with pre-diabetes, diabetes, or anyone who wants to lower their blood sugar levels.  It can help you regulate healthy blood sugar levels and don’t we all want that???

Helps Lose That Belly Fat

That’s right.  If you want to lose weight, drink apple cider vinegar daily.  Apple cider vinegar can help satiate your appetite, thus helping you consume fewer calories.  For example, if you drink apple cider vinegar with your meal, you will most likely feel full faster.  Though this is great, don’t rely solely on apple cider vinegar as your weight-loss program.  If you do, you will be disappointed.  It is a simple, easy aid to implement to help with weight loss, not do everything for you.

The 5and2Guy Way

My goal is to drink two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar each day, Monday – Friday.  I am at a point now where I can mix it with just six ounces of water rather than the 8 ounces I mentioned in a previous post concerning Not So Normal Habits.  I typically drink it at 4pm each day while I am still working.  It has become part of my routine and something I look forward to.  Yes, it can still be kinda tough at times, but it is good for me, so I like the challenge.  I have also found that not all bottles of apple cider vinegar are created equally, even if it is the same brand.  That is okay though.  Like I said, I like the challenge.
